What is ILLiad?

ILLiad is the online system you use to request an item through Interlibrary Loan. The name ILLiad is an acronym for InterLibrary Loan internet accessible database. ILLiad is used by libraries worldwide.

How do I use ILLiad?

All users need to register the first time they use interlibrary loan. Registration requires identification and PIN numbers. PSU faculty, staff, and students will be prompted for a PSU ID and GUS PIN. Community users need to have an active PSU Library Card.

What is a community user?

Community users are defined as local area residents who are not currently affiliated with the University.

How do I obtain a PSU Library Card and Community ILLiad Login?

Community users must complete a PSU Library Card application form (pink form) at the Interlibrary Loan department, checking the box labeled "ILL Access". An email address is required for ILLiad services. New users will be issued a PSU ID and temporary PIN via email; they will reset their PIN through GUS, and then may register on ILLiad using their PSU ID and newly-selected GUS PIN.

How long does it take to get a PSU Library Card?

The PSU Library Card will be issued to you through US Postal Service mail.

What if I have an active PSU Library Card, but no GUS PIN?

Contact the Interlibrary Loan, or Circulation Desk and complete a "pink" community user form with your e-mail address. Your current PSU Library Card is valid and may continue to be used.

How do I reset my GUS PIN?

GUS PINs may be reset at http://go.pittstate.edu/ Log in with your PSU ID and temporary PIN. Select "GUS Preferences" from the left hand sidebar menu.

What if I lose my PSU Library Card?
