NEW for Spring, 2018:
Beginning January 2018, all Faculty and Staff must switch accounts to PSU's Active Directory login credentials. The first time you do this, you will be taken to the Personal Information page. PLEASE FILL THIS OUT. A new ILLiad account will be created, which we will match to your old account. You will still have access to all of your archived request information. Please call x4890 if you have questions. Thank you!
Please read if you are a first time user:
Registration has three purposes:
- Entering your personal information into the ILLiad system means you will not have to supply the information again when submitting requests.
- Having your e-mail and other information on file with Interlibrary Loan enables us to notify you promptly and deliver materials accurately when they arrive.
- By setting up an ILLiad account, you will have secure access to information about your requests. You will also be able to review the list of items you have requested in the past.
By loging into this system, you acknowledge and agree to all of the terms and conditions below. Please pay particular attention to the copyright statement and the ILLiad FAQ.
To use Interlibrary Loan, you must be listed in PSU's GUS system. Community patrons that do not have a PSU Library Card must first obtain one by filling out an application obtained from the Axe Interlibrary Loan, or Circulation Department. See our Community Patron FAQ for more on the PSU Library Card.
Once a GUS ID has been issued, and you've selected a secure password, log into ILLiad. The first time you do this, you will be taken to the ILLiad "Personal Information screen". Please fill in your information at this time. You will not be able to use the system until this has been completed.
Important Copyright Information
WARNING CONCERNING COPYRIGHT RESTRICTIONS
The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted materials.
Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research". If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use", that user may be liable for copyright infringement.
This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
ILLiad FAQ
Before registering, you may wish to read the ILLiad FAQ. The FAQ may answer other questions you have about the ILLiad Interlibrary Loan system.
Document Delivery FAQ
ILLiad services also include Document Delivery. Journal articles held in print or microform will be copied and delivered into your ILLiad account. This does not include articles that are available full text through one of our online databases. See our Document Delivery FAQ for more information.
